Abstract

Climate change represents one of the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century, not only threatening ecological stability and economic systems but also profoundly influencing human well-being. This chapter examines the intricate relationship between climate change and both subjective and objective dimensions of well-being. Drawing from interdisciplinary literature, it explores the physical, psychological, economic, and social impacts of climate disruption. Key areas discussed include the physiological consequences of heat and pollution, psychological distress associated with environmental degradation, and disparities in vulnerability influenced by social, economic, and geographical contexts. The chapter emphasizes the importance of integrative frameworks that combine scientific assessments with community-centered and perception-based approaches to climate adaptation and mitigation. By bridging subjective and objective perspectives, the chapter advocates for a more holistic understanding of human resilience and sustainability in the era of climate change.
